IntroductionPalyul Centre UK was established by Khenpo Pema Choephel Rinpoche under the guidance of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche to provide a better understanding of Tibetan Buddhism, especially of the Palyul Tradition, and make Buddhist teachings available and accessible to the growing number of students and practitioners in the west. Its principal purpose is to provide a place for contemplation, study, and meditation and through this to help with the most important task of preserving and spreading the teachings of Lord Buddha in this rapidly changing world to the benefit of all sentient beings.

Venerable Khenpo Pema Choephel Rinpoche Dawa Tsering Lama Title Name: Khenpo Pema Choephel Rinpoche is the founder and spriritual director of Palyul Centre UK. Khen Rinpoche's root gurus are His Holiness Penor Rinpoche and His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, from whom he received both name and title. Born in Nepal, Khenpo Rinpoche joined Palyul Monastery aged 8 at his own request. He enrolled at Ngagyur Nyingma Institute aged 15. He completed his formal studies of Hinayana, Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist philosophies with his doctoral certificate. A Vajrayana Master, he was fully ordained by H.H. Penor Rinpoche bestowed upon him the Abbot’s hat and three monk’ s robes. He entered retreat for four years at Shechen, in Nepal. Khenpo Rinpoche has received rare and profound transmissions from the Namchoe Dzogchen cycle from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche and on the Nyingthik Great Perfection Practices of Trekchod and Toegal from His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. With the blessing of H.H. Penor Rinpoche, Khenpo Rinpoche has taught and promoted Buddhism in many countries. He has established Palyul centres in Greece, Germany and the UK.
